Confidence isn’t about being fearless or outgoing.
For children, real confidence is quieter than that.

I can keep going when something feels uncomfortable.
That kind of confidence isn’t built through praise alone—it’s built through experience.
In martial arts, students don’t rush progress or earn results by being “naturally good.”
They earn it by showing discipline, courage, and consistency, even when things feel challenging.
We place students under just enough pressure to grow—speaking up, performing, being corrected, and standing independently. These moments teach focus, emotional control, and resilience.

Just show up to class, and the teachers will ask you to evaluate after class. This is a low-pressure, supportive check-in—designed to help students feel confident and prepared.
❓ What Are Bars & Bar Evaluations?
Bars are short, in-class checkpoints that help us measure progress and readiness—step by step, throughout the quarter.
During Bar Evaluations, students may be asked to demonstrate:
Answering basic questions about their training
Forms, basic techniques, or kicks taught so far
Properly tying their belt
Each Age Group and Belt rank have specific items. Check the app for specific details on what’s required!
🛡️ How Does It All Work?
To be eligible for Gup Testing and the next belt, students complete three bars (in order):
🔴 Red Bar
🔵 Blue Bar
⚫ Black Bar
Bars must be earned in order, so each step builds on the last.
Once all three are achieved, your student is confident, prepared, and ready to register for testing!

We pick students up directly from school and bring them to USK for a structured, supervised, and fun camp afternoon—so you don’t have to rearrange your workday or scramble for coverage.
